Trunyan

The village of Trunyan, lying at the bank of lake Batur, Kintamani, is a village inhabited by the aborogines, the Bali Aga.These people have a special custom of funeral and practising their own religion. They do not bury and cremate their dead bodies as other Balinese do, but only lay them down in the open grave of about twenty inches deep. The dead bodies are onlycovered with pieces of cloth and let the face open. The grave yard is situated at the bank of the lake under the deep ravines, making unable to be visited by wild animals.
Trunyan is derived from "Taru Menyan" (the smell of fragrant tree of incence),the name of beautiful girl of this village who married Datonta, a God in disguised. when she was left by her husband, he promised to watch this village in disguised and made this village prosperous.
Datonta prohibited her marryanother man. She promised not marry any more so that she could meet him in heaven. After the daeth of Tarumenyan, the people of this village created a huge image of datonta as their God,and called him "Ratu Gede Pusering Jagad" (His Majesty on World). the people of this village still worship this God until today.

Kuta Beach

For the majority of tourist to Bali, time honoured images of palm fringed beaches are uppormost in the mind and probable the biggest single reason for purchasing that ticket to paradise.

The reality is all that and more. While those palm fringed beaches do exist, there is olso the wild coastline of the west with black sand beaches and treacherous waters, as well as the dramatic surf beaches of the bukit, the aquamarine lagoons of Lembongan island and the sleepy coves in the north.

KUTA beach remains the most popular strip and extends all the way up to Canggu and dawn towards the airport in Tuban. Kuta proper remains the whitest stretch of sand and is a big draw of those who want to test their surfing skills with both a beach break and a reef break further out.

Its popularity continoues to grow and for all ages,it is a wonderfull place to lay your sarong, frolic in the waves and soak up the warm sun. These days beach sellers are kept behind an invisible line,so peace is till possible on this action packed strip.

SUNSET LEGIAN is a no-holds barred beach were locals, expatriates and tourists mingle, bargain with the best, play paddle ball and football, indulge in a massage and manicure, catch up on reading, maditate, exercise, you name it.

The two camps are easily recognised; the workers have as many clothes on as possible and the bules (westerners) wear as little as possible. Be prepared for scantily clad brazilians, G-stringed Italians, coppertoned Germans, Australians in designer surf gear and pretty Indonesian girls in multi-platform sandals - itis the united nations of beaches.

Sunset is peak time at sunset Legian, when the beach bars fill up, the football field is at its busiest and the locals knock off work and wade fully clothes, skirts swirling, into the waves.

Kintamani-Batur Volcano

One of the most striking volcanoes on the island of Bali is Batur,1717 metres/5633 feet above the see level. Mount Batur was the summit of mount Panulisan. Becouse of the several eruption, the former top of the mount was invisible. some decades later the new peak appreared becoming the recent mount Batur. It stands in the centre of the old creater. It's sides are covered with the black lava spilled out into the great bowl of the older crater in the lastest eruptions. It is said that the lava has not yet cooled deep down and, when the rain water seeps through the cracks of the dried lava it turns into clauds of steam. Half circling the hamlets and the village of Trunyan inhabited by the aborogines, the Bali Aga.
In former times the prosperous village of Batur lay at the foot of the volcano, but today only the villages across the lake and some hamlets along the shores of the lake remain there.
One day mount batur began to growl and, in 1917 it burst into a violent erouption accompanied by several earthquakeakes. The whole of the island was effected, tens of thousands buildings and temples in Bali were destroyed. The lava engulfed the village of Batur, but stopped at the very gate of the tample. The villagers took the miracle as a good omen and continued to live there. In Agust 1926, however, a new eruption buried the village and their sacred temple under the molten lava, this time with the loss of on life, an old women who died of fright. Being unable to break the spell that links their destinies, the people of Batur evacuated their homes and rebuilt their village high up the rim of the outer crater, renamed Kubu Batur. This village swells becoming the village of Kintamani. After being in active for some periods, in 1963 again, mount Batur has been beginning to active untill taday, but this time the eruption moves in peaceful action.

All concur that the year 2009 full of uncertainty. All the people agree, the impact of the crisis will be sustained in this year. The crisis in such a magnitude the world has never experienced before.

Year 2008 ended with the increase in interest rates, stock prices fall an average of 50% (meaning that investors lost half the property). Mr. Aburizal Bakrie not the richest people in Indonesia anymore (though still rich), Export threatened, visits of tourists to Bali is????, PHK can not be avoided

indeed bleak. world feel darkness.

And all, as a business leader, I see it slightly differently. Indeed, the current crisis, the interest rate increase, the cost of business increased, while demand decreases. That is a fact that can not be avoid. So be it forget,, things on me as Area Beyond Control (ABC). We do not have the power to mengontrolnya. the focus of the ABC, we should see what we can do, rather than curse the darkness better light a candle, so we still see secercah rays point in the dark.

To the mystic

To The Mystic
You find your Lord in the dark night
When the dead quiet all the earth
When vague integrates all colors
When people sleep subside
In mattress, soundly tired.
I know, Lord God silent solitude!

But I met with my Lord in the day-light
When the crowd moving
When sound meets the air
When all the real colors
When the man busy working
keep the heart, eyes open
For the Lord God of all movement and the work

I speak with the Lord
Happiness in flower color
I heard the voice of my Lord
zoom in on the flying machine head
I saw the Lord
in sweat fluent people really work.

Decis clear decis fleet
Hand light fitter barbershop
Cut edge my hair
Fall autumn mixed dust

I saw the excelent of Lord
The ends of the hair on the ground spread
Friends, I am mad, katamu?
Oh, I pity to show you

Having eyes, no eyed
Can see, no clever view
For the I to see God everywhere
At the end of the nail clippers in the autumn
On coconut dry fall to the ground
In the searing heat of the sun,.

Whwn the sea is in up tide the smaller land looks like an islet.
Tanah Lot has connection with the history of Hindu religion spreading in Bali a few hundred year ago with a holy priest called Dahyang Nirata was the chief of the mission. It was believed that somewhere round this beach was the priest's dwelling place and was considered as holy.

Tanah Lot temple is the same.
